Famous Lawyer Minola Sebayang Launches Five Singers from Karo

Kapanlagi.com - Renowned lawyer Minola Sebayang has launched five talented young singers from Karo, North Sumatra. They are Maharani Tarigan, Mayang Mytami, Trisna Key, Rainson, and Mey. Minola's interest in launching these five singers is to showcase the young talent from Karo on a national level.

Maharani Tarigan, Mayang Mytami, Trisna Key, Rainson, and Mey are still relatively unknown to the Indonesian public. They are only known in the Karo region of North Sumatra. However, their singing abilities are just as good as famous singers in the country.

"I care about developing the Karo community, especially Karo artists who are the land of my birth and blood. Therefore, as much as possible, because my profession as a lawyer is not far from the celebrity world, I want to share what I have with my fellow artists from my region," said Minola Sebayang at Eighty Nine Eatery, Kemang, South Jakarta, on Friday (30/10).

Minola Sebayang was confused why most famous artists in Indonesia are not from the Karo region. However, artists from Karo are equally talented as artists from big cities in Indonesia.

"Why are artists from other regions nationalized? But Karo artists, after the big names decades ago, we haven't seen any successful Karo artists in national music. Except, recently there is a Karo daughter, Lyodra Ginting, who won Indonesian Idol," said Minola.

Thanks to collaboration with musicians Rieka Roslan, Richard Kyoto, and Ermy Kullit, Minola Sebayang has already found five talented young singers from Karo, each of whom has a new single written directly by Rieka Roslan.

"I collaborated with Rieka Roeslan to do what is called a coaching clinic to provide insights and knowledge to Karo artists so that they can have better and good skills. From that coaching clinic, five people were selected to be given the opportunity to enter the national music stage," said Minola Sebayang.

Meanwhile, Maharani Tarigan, Mayang Mytami, Trisna Key, Rainson, and Mey feel extremely happy to be chosen for Minola Sebayang's latest project called Minola Sebayang Project.

"Mey was the first to be chosen by Mr. Minola Sebayang and she's very happy about it. It's a chance and opportunity for us to go national. It's not easy, hopefully we can compete," said Mey.

"Personally, I'm very grateful that many friends are participating, and Trisna was chosen. So there's a sense of pride, among many friends, Trisna was chosen," said Trisna.

"Rainson was surprised, it's like a dream to have a single made for him. He's very happy," said Rainson.

"Mayang feels happy because she was chosen by Mr. Minola Sebayang through a coaching clinic. There are many Karo artists there and we were chosen, praise God for being chosen and we will give our best," said Mayang.

"Thanks to Mr. Minola for choosing all of us, the process was not easy. Among many participants, the five of us are here. Hopefully, everyone can support us and accept us," Maharani concluded.
