Giring Ganesha Launches EP "Serigala": A Story About Love, Betrayal, and Courage

However, despite being betrayed, the character in this song tries to uphold the principle of love amid darkness. "This is a reflection on how someone faces betrayal and continues to fight to remain steadfast in the principle of love," explained Giring.

In addition to Serigala, the song Berani gives encouragement to listeners to face separation and change with courage. Giring conveys the message that not all relationships can last forever, and being brave enough to acknowledge differences is the first step towards recovery.

"Berani is about continuing to dance amidst sadness and allowing ourselves to be reborn after facing grief," he added.

The last song, Candu, explores the addictive side of love. In this song, Giring depicts love as a solace and a refuge for a wounded heart. The beloved is likened to opium, becoming the center of life and healing amidst pain.

"The lyrics are very poetic, capturing a deep emotional dependence on love," said Giring.

Although the public knows him to be busy outside the music world, Giring insists that he has never truly left music.

"In the past few years, I have still been actively singing, especially at internal events. Music has always been an inseparable part of my life," he said.

This EP from Serigala, according to Giring, represents phases of life that many people may experience—from feelings of betrayal, love that becomes a refuge, to the courage to rise after loss.

"I hope listeners can feel that every life journey, no matter how difficult, always brings us to renewal and hope," he explained.
