Kapanlagi.com - The JOOX Indonesia Music Awards (JIMA) 2021 music awards have just taken place. These awards are claimed to be 100 percent fan and user choices of the JOOX digital music platform application. The voting period took place from June 7th to June 13th, 2021.
This is the first music awards event organized by JOOX. What is clear is that this award also received a warm response from music fans in Indonesia.
Through JIMA 2021, JOOX allows music fans in Indonesia to directly express their appreciation for musicians. Based on 100 percent fan votes, several top singers in the country received awards.
"We are very happy with the positive response, many fans did unique things and invited others to support. For the nominations, it was based on the number of streams in the past year, the number of karaoke sessions, all musician interactions within JOOX, and they were ranked. So everything is purely from the fans," said Yuanita Agatha, Head of Marketing for JOOX Indonesia in a virtual press conference on Monday (28/6/2021).
"We do this every year with a very positive response and beyond expectations. We also feel the pressure for next year, what should we do. So it's a challenge for us," continued Yuanita.
In this award, BTS won three awards in the categories Global Song of the Year: Dynamite, Korean Artist of the Year, and Best Fanbase of the Year.
