Letting You Go, Bemandry's New Single Created because of a Love Story from an Old Friend

However, no matter how far it has gone, the memory of his togetherness with the love he has chosen for his heart still faithfully resides within the depths that have not yet poured out all its contents. Until one unexpected moment, time once again led him to a meeting.

Some of these stories are what Bemandry, a singer and songwriter from Yogyakarta, wants to portray in his latest single, officially released on Monday (20/1/2020) titled Membiarkanmu digitally. In addition, this is Bemandry's fifth work introduced to the Indonesian music audience, released together with a music video uploaded on his official Youtube account.

The soloist, born in Jakarta on September 7, 1991, said that Membiarkanmu is one of his works that he wrote to summarize various stories that he has recently encountered in his surroundings. It all started when Bemandry heard a story from a friend who had been unable to express their feelings to someone they deeply love. And from that meeting, it seemed like he was conditioned by God to meet people who have experienced similar things.

“So, the beginning of it all, I got a story from a friend who had just reunited with someone they deeply loved, after being separated for quite some time. And from that meeting, they realized that all this time they were wrong about themselves and the person they loved because they chose to keep it all inside. They felt guilty because the person they loved still doesn't know their feelings until now, and at the same time, they felt guilty towards themselves for suffering too long in silence,” said Bemandry.

“Everyone surely has love within themselves, which is certainly intended for the person they desire. But here, not everyone has the willingness to express it, like the stories I found from my friend and other people I met. I dedicate “Letting You Go” to those who choose to keep their feelings because of various reasons. It could be because they are afraid to express it, religious differences, social status, and others,” he explained.

2. Representing Inner Feelings

Bemandry believes that everything related to feelings must be conveyed, even if the outcome is not as expected. Therefore, he hopes that Membiarkanmu can represent the inner feelings of people who still keep their feelings silent for the love they desire.

“Hopefully, this will be a trigger for those who do this to have a stronger attitude towards their heart, whether by strengthening themselves to express their feelings or erasing the love that once existed in their hearts forever. And I hope this song will be accepted by many music enthusiasts in Indonesia,” concluded Bem.
