Magis Lagu Misal, Yovie & Nuno Becomes Nominee for Best Pop Duo/Group at AMI Awards 2023

Kapanlagi.com-AMI Awards 2023 has just announced the categories and nominees recently. One of the nominees is the veteran band Yovie & Nuno.

The band, currently consisting of Muchamad Ahadiyat, Ady Julian, Chico Andreas, and Adhyra, becomes a nominee for the Best Pop Duo/Group category. This announcement is good news after they released a new song called Misal with a new formation.

Interestingly, the song Misal was written by Arsy Widianto, who was also inspired by his personal experience. It tells the story of a man who was left by his lover, but his love remains for her.

Misal marks a new milestone in Yovie & Nuno's journey. It comes after the departure of Yovie Widianto and the recent separation from Dikta Wicaksono.

According to Yovie, who is now behind the scenes of Misal's arrival, it becomes proof of the two new vocalists, Chico Andreas and Adhyra. The difference in character between the two actually becomes the strength of the song Misal.

“The single Misal shows the strength of Chico and Adhyra as vocal duo who successfully breathe life into this song by combining two different voice characters but still able to display the distinctive musical style of Yovie & Nuno," said Yovie Widianto.

The presence of Yovie & Nuno as nominees for the 2023 AMI Awards is evidence of a long journey of a band. Running for more than 20 years, Yovie & Nuno still have a place in the ears of Indonesian music lovers even though they often change personnel.
