Kapanlagi.com - Musician and producer, Malvin Thamrin, is once again showcasing his productivity in the Indonesian music industry with a fresh new work. Through his latest album titled SUARA ALAM SEMESTA, Malvin collaborates with talented young actress, Caroline, for one of his hit singles.
Their collaborative song titled Hilang features the contemporary Electronic Dance Music (EDM) genre. This work is considered unique and relevant as it highlights the social realities and dynamics of today's youth, also known as Generation Z.
"This is our first attempt at a duet. The song is about dramas, specifically the dramas of Gen Z. The music is EDM," said Malvin Thamrin when met in the Cibinong area, West Java, on Sunday (2/8/2026).

Malvin then explained the technical reasons behind choosing Caroline as his duet partner for this project. His song has a fairly high vocal range, so he needed a female voice to perfect the harmonization of the song.
"The featuring is titled 'Hilang'. Because, you know, Caroline was in production at that time and coincidentally, the song is quite high (in pitch) if I sing it alone. So I needed a female vocalist, and I ended up featuring Caroline. We tried it, and it happened to fit," Malvin Thamrin added.

For Caroline herself, this project is an exciting new challenge to step out of her comfort zone. Until now, her beautiful face has often appeared on screen as an actress, known for her role in the title Pernikahan Dini Gen Z.
"If I go back to my basics, I am an actress, I am in the acting world. Then I accidentally met Bang Malvin, Papa TM, and the other producer. So we talked for a long time, and it turned out they knew I had musical talent, I could sing, so I was invited," recalled Caroline.
Although it was her first time professionally stepping into the recording studio, Caroline admitted she did not encounter any significant obstacles. She felt very supported by the guidance and intensive direction provided by the production team during the song's development process.
In Malvin's view, the decision to produce Caroline was based on the actress's strong passion and intent in the music world. He hopes this cross-professional collaboration will be warmly received by music lovers throughout Indonesia.
"During my featuring with Bang Malvin, there were no difficulties because I was always guided by the producer and everyone. So I also learned to improve my vocals. There weren't any deep difficulties," she said.
