No Longer Using the Name Cherrybelle, Chibi Chibi Claims to Perform Using Corsets Because the Members Have Become Mothers

Kapanlagi.com - The girl band Cherrybelle is once again enlivening the Indonesian music industry. This time, they performed at the SCTV Music Awards 2024. On this occasion, they performed not using the name Cherrybelle, but using the new name Chibi Chibi.

"So the story is long. Cherrybelle belongs to the management. Well, because we are no longer affiliated with the management, we are individuals. So we choose as our identity from ancient times," said Cherly Juno when met at Studio 6 Emtek City, West Jakarta, on Tuesday (14/5/2024).

"Cherrybelle is Chibi Chibi, so we want to remind that we are still here, the old Cherrybelle, now as Chibi-Chibi," she continued.

1. Already Have Children

Another Chibi Chibi personnel, Kezia Karamoy, added that their group's appearance has changed quite a bit, considering that the majority of Chibi Chibi members now have children.

"To be out of breath, it's quite something. Because we haven't performed together for a long time. Thank God we can give our best performance," said Kezia Karamoy.

Not only in terms of stamina, Cherly Juno also mentioned that their team now performs wearing corsets. "In the past, we didn't wear corsets for performances. Now, because we are mothers, we wear corsets. So that we can still appear perfect," said Cherly Juno, then laughed.

2. New Album

Aside from that, Cherly Juno emphasized that their group plans to release a new song. However, the exact timing is still undisclosed.

"Stay tuned. Because we have a song prepared. But we still need to see the rhythm and the right time for us to return to the Indonesian music scene," concluded Cherly Juno.
