Good news for KLovers who love pop music in the homeland! A new band called Alis Band is ready to liven up the music industry with their fresh works. Uniquely, behind the emergence of this band is entrepreneur Idham Masse, who acts as the producer.

For Idham Masse, who is also the ex-husband of artist Catherine Wilson, diving into the music world is not a coincidence. His decision to produce Alis Band began from their meeting at his cafe, Reza Cafe. The band members have long been a regular band performing at his cafe.

The closeness that has developed since 2019 is what makes Idham see great potential in them. He is determined to take this band from Sidrap, South Sulawesi to a bigger stage.

"Actually, I formed this band coincidentally because the kids in this band often performed at my place, at Reza Cafe," he said when met in the Meruya area, West Jakarta, on Tuesday (23/10/2025).

Idham explained that Alis Band's journey at his cafe has been going on for quite a while, even before the pandemic. From there, the idea emerged to seriously work on a professional music project with them.

"So they've been playing together since 2019. Since 2019 they've been performing together often. That's when the idea came up to form a band," he explained.

The band Alis is led by Sony (vocals), Amran (bass), Amin (drums), and Indra (guitar). Now, with full support from Idham Masse as the producer, they are ready to release their debut single titled PHP (Pemberi Harapan Pasti).

Idham's decision to dive into production is also based on his belief that the music industry currently needs a refresh, especially from band formats that he feels have become increasingly rare.

"Because I am optimistic, it is because recently there have not been any new bands emerging," he concluded.
