Once Looked Down Upon, Now for Revenge Prepares Solo Concert After 19 Years in Music

Kapanlagi.com - After nearly two decades in the music industry, the band for Revenge is finally holding its first solo concert. The concert titled Sang Derana is a special moment for Boniex Noer, Arief Ismail, Izha Muhammad, and Archims Pribadi, who have been together for 19 years.

The decision to hold this solo concert is filled with emotion and enthusiasm from the band members. Arief stated that this concert is a realization of hopes that once felt difficult to achieve.

"I'm nervous but happy, I never imagined this would happen. There was a desire to do it, but it felt impossible, and now it's possible with Katarsis (the promoter)," said Arief in the Blok M area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (29/4/2025).

1. The Difference Between a Solo Concert and a Festival

A similar sentiment was expressed by Izha, who considers this achievement as something that was never imagined before. According to him, performing at a solo concert is very different from their performances at various festivals.

"I was nervous and didn't expect it, because we have often played at festivals and headlined, and I didn't expect to be in this position now. Especially now that we are going to hold a solo concert," Izha added.

For the drummer, Archims, this concert even serves as a form of proof of the long and challenging journey he has gone through all this time. He expressed this in a joking tone but still conveyed the personal meaning behind this concert.

"My struggles have paid off, where I used to be looked down upon, 'Oh, you're still just in a band,' now it's the other way around, 'Why are you still just working?' haha," Archims said while joking.

2. Find the Right Moment

Meanwhile, Boniex revealed the reason why Revenge finally feels that now is the right time to hold a solo concert. The increasingly packed schedule of performances has become one of the indicators of their readiness.

"Actually, what solidifies it is that this is the time. We’ve almost been performing every week at several points, yet we’ve never held a solo concert," Boniex stated.

The Sang Derana concert will be held in Jakarta on July 19, 2025, and will feature several guest performers such as Lomba Sihir, Stand Here Alone, and Elsa Japasal. Their presence will add dynamics and color to the show.

However, Jakarta is not the only city that will be visited. Boniex mentioned that this concert will be part of a tour that will touch several other cities throughout the year.

"The plan is to have five cities: Bandung, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali, the rest is a secret, will be finalized this year," Boniex said.

3. Target Thousands of Viewers

Regarding the concert location in Jakarta, the for Revenge team is still keeping the detailed information under wraps. Nevertheless, Boniex is targeting a fairly large audience for their first show.

"The target is around 3000-4000. (The venue) is indoor because there will be an orchestra and choir," said Boniex.

This concert not only celebrates 19 years of for Revenge's journey. They also want to make this moment a medium to share perspectives on heartbreak in various forms of relationships.

4. Touch the Audience Emotionally

for Revenge will present themes from three sides of heartbreak, covering relationships with partners, family, and even spiritual connections. This perspective is expected to touch the audience emotionally.

Tickets for the Sang Derana concert have started selling, with price ranges from Rp129,000 to Rp639,000. The tickets are divided into four categories, providing various access options for fans.
