Once Mekel's Voice Quality Does Not Decrease Despite Being 53 Years Old

Kapanlagi.com - Elfonda Mekel, or better known as Once, is a singer with a high voice. Despite being 53 years old, it does not diminish the quality of his vocals. On the contrary, Once's vocal skills have matured.

This can be seen from the uploads on the Multimas Production YouTube channel. The former vocalist of Dewa 19 performs live singing songs that are considered difficult. With his characteristic high-pitched voice in classic rock style, he performs songs such as High Enough (Damn Yankee), Back in Black (AC/DC), and Cochise (Audioslave) very well.

According to Chris Charles, the owner of Multimas Production, Once Mekel is the only singer in Indonesia who can sing multi-genre songs well, ranging from pop, rock, classic rock, to blues.

"So far, only Once can perform various types of songs very well, such as Symphoni Yang Indah originally popularized by Bob Tutupoly, Merpati Putih composed by Eros Djarot, Angin Malam, Anak Jalanan," said Chris Charles, to journalists recently.

Not only that, Chris Charles added, Once is also very good at singing songs from Indonesian musicians.

"Then there are Indonesian rock songs like songs from God Bless, modern Indonesian songs like the song Firasat are also very good when performed," he said.

On that occasion, Chris Charles mentioned that Once Mekel can sing songs that are considered very difficult by other musicians. According to him, Once's singing style is different from other singers.

2. New Single Release

"Bohemian Rhapsody is also very good and effortless in his singing style, unlike other singers. Then there's Back in Black by AC/DC, songs from the band Aerosmith are also very good when performed," he said.

"Even foreign singers are not as good as Once when performing those songs," he concluded.

It is known that Once Mekel has just released a new song titled Untuk Kita. In this single, Once appears with an upbeat tone that is expressed in cheerful melodies and is easily digestible by all people.
