Opick's Heartfelt Expression During the Pandemic Poured into a New Album Titled 'Wahai Pemilik Jiwa'

Kapanlagi.com - The Covid-19 pandemic did not make singer Opick stay silent. Instead, during this Covid-19 pandemic, the singer of the song Tombo Ati became more productive. The proof is that Opick managed to create dozens of new songs during the Covid-19 pandemic. These songs were poured into Opick's latest religious mini album titled Wahai Pemilik Jiwa.

"For almost a year, I got dozens of songs, and these are the best ones selected for the mini album. The idea is more about the need for Allah. An indirect invitation to return to Allah," said Opick in a virtual press conference on Thursday (8/4/2021).

Interestingly, the album Dear Soul Owner is Opick's heartfelt expression during the Covid-19 pandemic. Among the six songs in the album Dear Soul Owner, there is one single that tells about Opick's anxiety, namely Tanpamu.

"When experiencing a pandemic, we have gold, guards, but in the end, we feel afraid, cautious of Covid-19. Everything we pride ourselves on is nothing without You, Allah. I am lost, fallen, and fragile," he said.

2. How Weak Humans Are

For Opick, many of the songs in his mini album express how weak humans are without Allah's help, especially in the current pandemic.

"In many of these songs, I call upon Allah. I am weak, I am nobody. I need Your help, Allah. I hope that those who listen can find extraordinary energy, hidden treasure, Allah," he said.

3. Other Songs

Opick's mini album has been released digitally on several music platforms, including Opick's YouTube channel. In addition to the songs TanpaMu, Wahai Pemilik Jiwa, and Indahnya Ramadan, three other songs in the mini album are Sang Cahaya Kehidupan (Sholawat), Allahu Ya Karim, and Jangan Tangisi.
