Otong KOIL Talks Politics on the Pestapora Stage: Who Will You Choose as President, Guys?

Kapanlagi.com - The band Koil performed on the first day of the Pestapora music festival held at JiExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Friday (22/9/2023). The band, consisting of Otong, Doni, Adam, and Leon, performed on the Boss Stage at around 15.30 WIB.

In their performance, the band from Bandung performed several of their hit songs, such as "Aku Lupa Aku Luka", "Semoga Kau Sembuh", "Aku Rindu", and "Pecandu N★rkotbah". In between their performances, Koil's vocalist, Otong, mentioned that their band has just released a new song.

"Oh yeah, Koil has released a new song, not a new song actually, it's a song from the band .Feast. You guys probably don't know the band Feast based on your appearances, you all look old," said Otong Koil from the stage, on Friday (22/9/2023).

Yes, Koil has just released a new single titled "Tarian Penghancur Raya". The song is originally by the band .Feast and rearranged by Koil. Likewise, .Feast also rearranged Koil's song titled "Kenyataan Dalam Dunia Fantasi".

"So, it's like a swap, you guys listen to it later," said Otong.

1. Do a Little Oratory

Not only telling the audience that their band has just released a new single. But, Otong also briefly talked about politics, related to the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

"I will do a little political oratory. Who will you guys choose as president? Hah, Mr. Prabowo? Prabowo, right? Mr. Anies, Mr. Ganjar. You guys seem to be abstaining from voting," said Otong Koil, then the audience laughed.

In addition to Koil, several musicians performed on the first day of Pestapora. Starting from Rizky Febian, NOAH, Dialog Dini Hari, Pee Wee Gaskins, Rizky Febian, Lyodra, Pamungkas, Efek Rumah Kaca, Barasuara, Silampukau, Ungu, Yura Yunita, and many others.
