Reality Club Releases New Song 'Sunny Days', Stepping Out of the Comfort Zone with a Different Genre

The music group Reality Club released their latest single titled Sunny Days, on Friday, July 26, 2024. This song has become the most prominent pop work produced by Fathia Izzati (vocals, keyboards), Faiz Novascotia Saripudin (vocals, guitar), Nugi Wicaksono (bass, vocals), and Era Patigo (drums) to date.

According to Faiz, the songwriter of Sunny Days, this song carries the meaning of providing support and comfort to loved ones. Faiz explained that the song emerged from feelings of sadness that may arise when seeing the success of others and their clear direction in life, while we ourselves may feel less fortunate or that life feels uncertain.

The main message of this song is the belief that happiness will come in due time.
 
"Although today may feel dark, stay enthusiastic and be patient, we will find bright days and can get through tough times, especially if we do it together," said Faiz.

The song Sunny Days was actually created back in 2021 during the making of the album titled Reality Club Presents which was released last year. This album aimed to explore various music genres beyond indie rock.

The music genres outside of indie rock that they usually perform are found in the albums Never Get Better (2017) and What Do You Really Know? (2019). Then, Sunny Days emerged, inspired by the pop music they were listening to at that time.

According to Faiz, at that time they were listening to artists like Doja Cat, Ariana Grande, and SZA. "Because our third album focuses on exploring different genres, we tried something new," Faiz explained, who also contributed to the rap part of the song.

Initially, Sunny Days was not selected to be included in the Reality Club Presents album because it was considered too different from their usual music style. However, they eventually decided to release it.

This song was just released at the end of summer 2024. Just like its name, the reason is that they felt it matched the bright atmosphere at that time.

Reality Club also introduced a snippet of this song during their performance at the We The Fest festival on July 21. “We tried playing it during rehearsals for We The Fest and ended up getting hooked!” said Era. Nugi added that they will refine this song for their stage performance.

Faiz also revealed that this release marks the end of the Reality Club Presents. They plan to release more songs leading up to their fourth album.
