Realize His Dream of Becoming a Professional Singer, Regional Musician Sabri Hidayat Launches Debut Single Titled 'Rindau Radoik'

It is also possible that art enthusiasts living in the region will be able to make progress and enliven the entertainment industry in the country.

It is known that there are already many artists, especially regional musicians, whose names are known by the public thanks to their works. Among them are Via Vallen, Nella Kharisma, Denny Caknan, Happy Asmara, and the music group NDX AKA.

Seeing this, of course, similar opportunities and chances can come to anyone. That is what is felt by a young musician from Sungai Penuh City, Jambi Province named Sabri Hidayat.

He believes that musicians from Sumatra like himself can also achieve the same success as other regional musicians. Therefore, this young man, who is familiarly called Dayat, tries to introduce his own work in the form of a song titled 'Rindau Radoik'.

When translated, this song means longing for a loved one. Not only that, this Malay pop genre song becomes more unique because it is sung in the distinctive Kerinci regional language.

"Rindau Radoik is a song about expressing longing for someone dear. The lyrics were written by myself and using the regional language," said Sabri Hidayat when contacted by phone on Wednesday (4/24).

When asked further, Sabri Hidayat explained his inspiration in creating his debut single. He also talked about the relatively short process of creating the song.

"The first inspiration to create this song is to create new works from local musicians. The process may be relatively short, but there were some challenges in adjusting the music with the lyrics," he said.

2. Great Expectations

Currently, the song 'Rindau Radoik' is not available on digital music platforms and can only be heard on the Asshauqi Official Youtube channel. Nevertheless, Sabri Hidayat hopes that this work can be a stepping stone to continue producing new works and become a tool to achieve his aspirations.

"Hopefully, with the song Rindau Radoik, I myself hope to develop and create new works, especially for my own region, and hopefully other young musicians will emerge," he said.

"This work is a stepping stone and one of the plans to achieve aspirations," he concluded.
