The vocal group Warna once again demonstrates its existence in the Indonesian music industry with their latest work. They have rearranged the legendary song titled Rahasia Hati, which was previously popularized by the band Element.
The song, created by Harry Budiman and Ferdy Tahier, was once known for its strong pop nuances. Now, Warna breathes new life into it with a jazz arrangement that has become their trademark. Here are the details.
This rearrangement project was undertaken seriously and involved renowned producer Ari Renaldi. The producer also handled the mixing and mastering process of the song released under the AFE Records label.
“The Secret of the Heart is a powerful song, widely known, and has an emotional depth that matches Warna's character. Besides the fact that the song is good, Warna feels that this song provides space for vocal exploration, especially in the distinctive harmony play of Warna,” said Ria at a press conference in the Sarinah area, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (21/5/2025).
According to Ria, the song The Secret of the Heart has the power to reach across generations of listeners. She also believes that the song remains relevant even though it comes from a previous era.
“Even though it comes from a previous era, The Secret of the Heart remains relevant and has even become one of the favorite songs among young people on various digital platforms,” she added.
Through its new version, Warna maintains the emotions of the original song. However, the group now led by Sarwana, Stephen, Ria, Dea, Nina, and Ary hopes that their arrangement can touch listeners with a fresher approach.
“I hope the version of Rahasia Hati by Warna can be well received by the friends of WARNA and become a new favorite version of this legendary song. This song is also expected to accompany listeners who are experiencing heartbreak, while also bringing a new color to the Indonesian music scene,” said Nina.
Not only from Warna, appreciation also comes from Ferdy Tahier, who is the creator and vocalist of Element. He welcomed the new interpretation brought by Warna of his song. “This version is really good. I hope it can add new fans and listeners for the song Rahasia Hati,” Ferdy said briefly.
This song can now be listened to on various digital streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. Warna also plans to perform this song live at the Soundsfest event that will be held on May 24, 2025.
