Sing Again the Song 'Fly Me To The Moon', Jaz Claims to Feel Honored

Kapanlagi.com - In mid-2024, Jaz Hayat, also known as Jaz, is set to release new work. This time, he provides the theme song for Sony Pictures' latest film titled FLY ME TO THE MOON. He is covering the song Fly Me To The Moon by Bart Howard.

“I feel honored to have the opportunity to cover one of the classic songs that has been sung by various artists many times. Thank you to Sony Pictures for choosing me directly to sing this song,” Jaz stated in a recent written statement.

Fly Me To The Moon was created by Bart Howard in 1954 under the original title In Other Words. The most famous version is the one sung by Frank Sinatra in 1964, included in the album It Might as Well Be Swing.

According to Howard, by the time Sinatra's version came out, this song may have already had more than 100 versions by different singers. Jaz himself admitted he was once afraid when singing Fly Me To The Moon.

“Honestly, there was a sense of fear when I had to sing Fly Me to the Moon (From Fly Me to the Moon Movie) because giving life to this song is quite difficult considering there are so many versions out there by different singers. But, since I have been entrusted by Sony Pictures, I will sing my version as best as I can. I hope the result will not disappoint,” he continued.

Although carrying the jazz genre, for this latest version, the arrangement of Fly Me to the Moon (From Fly Me to the Moon Movie) will be adjusted to Jaz's characteristics.

“I have never sung a pure jazz genre song and the arrangement of this song has been made to fit the characteristics and touch that Jaz has. So, for Jaz fans who have been used to hearing Jaz sing pop genre, they will not be surprised when they hear Fly Me to the Moon (From Fly Me to the Moon Movie) which tends towards jazz,” said Jaz.
