Soundsfest is the largest annual music festival in the city of Bekasi, organized by Soundspeople since 2016. This two-day festival emerged in response to the limited presence of music festivals in Bekasi.
"Soundsfest is a festival event in the city of Bekasi, which we first held in 2016. We were excited as students from one of the universities, wanting to have an event because at that time there were no festivals in Bekasi," said Rayn Alvi Maharan in the Sarinah area, Central Jakarta, on Friday (21/02).
Soundsfest has also become a pioneer of music festivals that provide a platform for musicians and artists in the creative industry of Bekasi. This event has been held six times, namely in 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, & 2024, with a total audience reaching 155,000 people.

Rayn Alvi Maharan explained the reasons for holding Soundsfest in Jakarta. He feels that this year is the right time to hold Soundsfest in Jakarta.
"We are very grateful to the city of Bekasi which has been a place for Soundpeople to create. Now, Soundsfest is getting bigger and developing, and for the first time we are present in Jakarta. We feel this is the right time to bring Soundsfest to the capital, with the aim of providing a broader experience for the audience, while also providing a platform for the community to collaborate and create with us," he added.

Soundsfest Jakarta 2025 will be held with the theme Magical Festival supported by four main stages. This festival also features three supporting areas.
First, the community area which contains various activities led by different communities, including an art community that will hold live murals, creative workshops, and art exhibitions; and a stand-up comedy community that will entertain the audience. Second, the games area which features various exciting games. Third, the F&B area and marketplace that presents various large and local tenants from Bekasi.
"Soundsfest 2025 has the theme of a magical festival, there are four main stages, a community area, a kids area, and stand-up comedy," said Ryan Novianto.

During the Soundsfest press conference, Rayn Alvi Maharan explained the differences of Soundsfest that will be held in Jakarta.
"What sets it apart is the location; there are international artists this year because usually we never bring them," said Ryan.
Soundsfest Jakarta 2025 will present exciting surprises with performances from several international artists. Two of them will be announced this February. Starting with Phum Viphurit, a singer-songwriter from Thailand known for the song Lover Boy, who has successfully performed at several prestigious music festivals around the world. Then Panjabi MC, a legendary British musician who blends Indian Bhangra music with American hip-hop, widely known for his collaboration with Jay-Z on the song Beware of The Boys (Mundian To Bach Ke).

Soundsfest sets the ticket price at around 150 thousand for one day, and 400 thousand for three days with international performers, adjusting to the budget of the majority of local attendees.
"Yesterday's early bird, we recorded 6,000 tickets sold. After this, we will presale tickets at a price of 150,000 for one day and 400,000 for a three-day pass. The hope is that by attending Soundsfest this year, listeners can participate in accompanying the migration of Soundsfest from Bekasi to Jakarta," said Rayn Alvi Maharan.
