What's special about the song 'Even Though I'm Far Away' is that the 24-year-old singer collaborated with NOAH's keyboardist, David. Interestingly, the collaboration between Christie and David happened due to the demands of NOAH's fans.

"It's funny, actually we already had a deal for a project together. I often collaborate with NOAH, often cover David's songs, and many NOAH fans commented asking David to make a song for me, to make a project together," said Christie during a virtual press conference on Wednesday (3/11/2021).

Working on the song 'Even Though I'm Far Away' took quite a long time. This is because David had to completely change the arrangement of the song to suit Christie's vocal character. It is known that Christie Hartono is one of the singers with a thick vocal character.

"It took quite some time. Because David changed the arrangement completely, since the first time we workshopped together, we didn't really know each other. Christie's voice has its own character," said Christie.

"So he made a good arrangement but it didn't quite fit Christie's voice and vocal character. As time went by, we collaborated more often, got to know each other better, and it turned out to be completely changed," she added.

In this press conference, David NOAH couldn't attend. However, he was represented by Arlan, as the A&R of Musica Studios. David was very enthusiastic about collaborating with Christie Hartono. In the song "Walau Ku Jauh", David's curiosity about Christie's voice character was finally answered.

"It happened that David was really enthusiastic because he cares a lot about the work he creates. So I felt that this must be good. Especially with Christie singing, I was curious about how it would turn out, and it exceeded expectations," said Arlan.

The single "Walau Ku Jauh" by Christie feat. David NOAH was released on October 22, 2021, on all digital music platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, JOOX, Langit Musik, Youtube Music, Noice, and Resso. The music video can also be enjoyed on Christie's YouTube channel.
