Losing a leader figure is undoubtedly a heavy blow for The Bakuucakar, but the grief they feel actually motivates and convinces them to continue creating. Like a family that loses a member, life will still go on. Like losing a captain, the ship will continue to sail towards its destination.
In early 2021, The Bakuucakar went together to a place for a few days. There, they tried to write songs together, a process they had never experienced before.
From the jam sessions full of laughter and typical Bakuucakar humor, the song Bakuucakar was born with a funky and energetic rhythm. The repeated shouting of Bakuucakar in every chorus became an anthemic melody for the brotherhood, ethnic diversity, and cross-generational collaboration of each member.
The Bakuucakar personnel themselves consist of: Rifka Rachman (Lead Vocal & Sequencer), Bonar Abraham (Bass), Rayendra Sunito (Drums), Harry Anggoman (Keyboard), Nicky Manuputty (Saxophone), Kenna Lango (Hammond), and Andre Dinuth (Guitar).
The song Bakuucakar will be released on all digital music platforms today, Friday, June 18, 2021, under the Musik Bagus Records label and Bumi Entertainment Management. Some of these digital music platforms include Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and YouTube Music.
