Yura Yunita explains the title of her music concert 'Bingah', which comes from the Sundanese language meaning happy. She uses her native language because Yura wants to create a concert with cultural elements.

"Bingah means happy in Sundanese, so happiness and joy are different in my opinion; joy is only temporary, but bingah, being truly happy, comes from within," said Yura Yunita in the Istora Senayan area, Jakarta, Friday (31/01/2025).

Yura also has a vision for young people to continue being proud of where they come from.

"From my first album release to the third, I have a vision; I really want young people to be proud of where they come from. Because my cultural roots and my birthplace are from Sunda, I really want to create a concert that has cultural elements, traditional elements, but we mix it with the style of today's youth, that's why it's called bingah," she continued.

"Because this is my long career journey and this is the biggest concept, there are so many people on stage, there are hundreds of people up there, so this is a celebration for everyone who has made Yura's works a part of their lives," said Yura Yunita.

The unusual timing of this music concert also carries meaning and hopes that the listeners can go home in good spirits with warm and emotional feelings that can be shared with family and loved ones.

"The reason why this concert is held at three in the afternoon is so that the people who come can go home in good spirits, when they go home, their warm feelings and emotional moments can be shared with friends and family and loved ones," said Donne Maula, Creative Director of Merakit.

3. Serious Concert Preparations

Yura Yunita is seriously preparing for the Bingah concert; she practices for 9 hours a day for a satisfying performance.

"I can really go all out, practicing 9 hours a day for this concert," said Yura Yunita.

However, the intense training made Yura drop and she had to go to physiotherapy.

"One day we were going to have a joint rehearsal, about five days ago suddenly I couldn't breathe, I couldn't move and my ribs felt like they were hurting. Finally, I was taken to the physiotherapy place," Yura continued.

This concert celebrates 10 years of her music journey, where Yura Yunita performs all her songs from the Yura album, Merakit, to Tutur Batin.
