There Has Been a Conversation, Funky Kopral Cancels Reunion with Former Band Members

Recently, the drummer had a meeting with his former guitarist, Oncy "Ungu". "Coincidentally, I and the drummer of Funkop (Funky Kopral), Robby, have been constantly in touch, chatting. Suddenly (Robby said) 'I want to go to Jakarta, let's create content' 'what song? Funkop'. That's it," said Oncy when met in the SCBD area, recently.

Many people thought that Robby and Oncy were discussing a reunion of the original formation of Funky Kopral. However, they were only creating content on Oncy's YouTube channel. "There was a conversation (about a reunion) like that before the pandemic but it got postponed," said Oncy.

1. Potential Reunion?

Now, the Covid-19 pandemic is gradually decreasing. In fact, several music events have started to become active again. Seeing the increasingly conducive conditions, will there be a potential reunion of Funky Kopral's former personnel?

"Maybe we will be more focused on our individual careers. Because once this pandemic is over, we will go back to our respective bands. As for future plans, let's see how things progress," said Oncy.

2. Improved Relationship

Although he is no longer part of Funky Kopral, Oncy's relationship with the other personnel has improved. "We still keep in touch, but not often. We have occasional gatherings, but not frequently," he said.

Currently, Funky Kopral is still showing its presence in the Indonesian music industry. Now, Funky Kopral is back with a new sound and new personnel. "Funkop is still here with new personnel, with Robby as the drummer, who was part of the original lineup. Along with new friends," Oncy concluded.
