Kapanlagi.com - Dua Lipa canceled her concert in Indonesia today due to stage safety reasons. The condition of the stage, which was supposed to be the venue for the RADICAL OPTIMISM TOUR and had already been set up in the Indonesia Arena, has become a topic of discussion online.

An account named @fauzanalwilub shared a photo of Dua Lipa's stage on X. In his tweet, Fauzan showed a comparison between Dua Lipa's stage in Indonesia and Singapore.

The photo shows a difference in size between the stage built in Indonesia and that in Singapore. However, Mataelang Production, which constructed the stage, stated that they built it according to the design and specifications requested by the promoter and Dua Lipa's management.

In an official statement via Instagram, Mataelang Production emphasized that they have conducted safety tests on the stage that will be used by Dua Lipa. The stage itself has been standing since November 6.

"We from Mataelang Productions want to clarify regarding the cancellation of Dua Lipa's concert “Radical Optimism Tour” in Jakarta, which was scheduled for November 9, 2024, at Indonesia Arena.

We want to emphasize that we always work with professionalism and high dedication to meet production needs according to safety standards.

For this concert, we have completed stage preparations since November 6, 2024, even obtaining a structural safety certificate specifically for this event from a certified structural engineer experienced in handling large-scale international events in Indonesia, which states that the stage is safe for use.

Regardless of that, Dua Lipa's Tour team still feels that what we have done does not meet their standards.

We respect this decision and apologize for the inconvenience felt by fans and related parties. We will continue to commit to providing the best service in future opportunities.," the statement reads.

2. Dua Lipa Heartbroken

Dua Lipa herself admitted to being heartbroken after her concert was canceled in Indonesia. She was already in Jakarta and ready to perform, but due to technical reasons, the concert was canceled just 22 hours before the event.

"It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that I cannot perform in Jakarta this Saturday, November 9. I am in your amazing country and ready to perform, but I am very sad to announce that it has been determined that the show is not safe to continue due to safety issues at the venue. I was really looking forward to tonight, and it is truly painful for me that we cannot perform for all of you, especially after such a long time since my last performance in Jakarta," she wrote on social media.

In her statement, Dua Lipa also provided information that tickets already purchased will be refunded to the audience. She expressed her desire to return and hold a concert as a replacement for the cancellation of her performance today.
