"The title is indeed quite unusual. But through this EP, I want to prove whether falling in love really brings happiness," said Maisha Kanna in the Gunawarman area of South Jakarta, Thursday (21/8/2025).

This curiosity apparently stems from her own experiences that haven’t always been sweet in relationships. The fatigue of dealing with the ups and downs of falling in love became the main trigger for the birth of this EP. She honestly admits that this EP is a manifestation of her exhaustion with the dynamics of love that aren’t always beautiful.

"Actually, this is my tired feeling of experiencing falling in love, that’s why there’s the word 'allegedly', I want to try to prove it," Maisha said.

Maisha's journey in pouring out her love story marks her maturity as an artist. Having shown her interest in music since childhood, her name began to be recognized by the public through talent shows like The Voice Kids Indonesia and Idola Cilik.

Her career soared when she was entrusted to perform the theme song for the Indonesian version of the cartoon Tayo, eventually shining on the theater stage through the Musical Adventure of Sherina and on the big screen through the film Kulari ke Pantai, which earned her a nomination at FFI 2018.

"It's just like the EP (love story). Is there anyone who has hurt me? Hmmm… yes, Amen (after this, I will be happy). I hope the next EP can prove that I am happy," she said.

The process of creating the EP 'Katanya Bahagia Jatuh Cinta' took quite a long time, worked on since Maisha was 16 years old until now at the age of 18. For Maisha, her involvement from start to finish makes this project feel very personal and a journey of maturity.

"I am really grateful to be involved here, so I can meet many great people. I feel like I am growing during this work process," she said.

Although the recording process is over, Maisha admits that her feelings are still in a healing and searching phase. She feels that the theme of this EP is still very connected to what she feels up to this moment.

"As for the feeling of whether I am happy and in love again? Am I? Hmm, we don’t know. It can't be described yet. That's why, honestly, until now this EP is still relatable to myself," she said.

Before releasing this EP fully, Maisha Kanna had already introduced her musical style through two singles, namely Jungkir Balik and Sejauhjauhjauhnya. Now, three new songs complete her mini album, namely Satu Titik Dua Koma, Strategi, and a cover of Rocket Rockers' song, Ingin Hilang Ingatan, which she performs with a fresh modern pop touch.
