UN1TY, a New Boyband with 8 Handsome Boys Ready to Bring a New Color

Kapanlagi.com - Although the era of Boybands in Indonesia is no longer existent, a new Boyband named UN1TY has emerged, which made its debut on December 9, 2019. This Boyband is under the auspices of Famous All Stars through a music training program called 1ID Music Project.

This Boyband was formed through auditions from 500 participants, then selected 8 outstanding members who were considered to have strong characters. The eight members of UN1TY are Fajri, Farhan, Fenly, Fiki, Gilang, Ricky, Shady, and Zweitson. They all come from different ethnic backgrounds with an average age of 16 to 23 years.

"We were formed through online auditions and there were about 500 candidates who participated, and we followed the process from the beginning until finally we were selected and UN1TY was born," said Zweitson, one of the members of Boyband UN1TY when visiting the Kapanlagi Youniverse office, Central Jakarta, on Monday afternoon (27/1).

1. Making Music Video in Korea

This boyband has also released several singles such as Try My Love. This song has easy-listening lyrics about seducing a woman to leave her lover, then trying a new and more deserving love.

The making of the music video for Try My Love has also been completed, where the shooting process took place in Korea. During their time there, this boyband also had the opportunity to practice dance at 1 Million Dance Studio with a skilled choreographer.

"Yes, we went to Korea last time to work on the music video for our single, but after that, we also had the opportunity to practice dance at 1 Million Dance Studio and be trained by a skilled choreographer. We are still new and need a lot of experience and knowledge, so having the chance to be at a famous studio in South Korea is the most valuable experience for us," said Gilang, one of the members of UN1TY.

2. Highlighting Each Member's Vocal Abilities

According to Riki, there is a concept that UN1TY, a boyband, wants to highlight, which is through light music genre and showcasing each member fairly through their different vocal characters.

"We emphasize each vocal character fairly, because we have more vocals including rap, and the music genre is also diverse because we were chosen and became one as UN1TY because we have different characters," said Riki.
