Unique Story of the Making of Rossa's New Single 'Masih', Until a Web Series is Made

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Rossa released a new single titled Masih composed by Yovie Widianto and Nino Kayam. Interestingly, the chorus of this song was spontaneously created by Yovie when Rossa held her solo concert The Journey of 21 Dazzling Years in April 2017.

In 2018, Nino Kayam was asked by Rossa to write the lyrics to complete the part that Yovie had created. And then the song was completed and the recording process was done in 2019.

"The chorus of this song has been there since 2017. Why was it only released in early 2020? Because there were quite a few things going on. Last year, I was involved in the soundtrack of the biopic film Susi Susanti, released Tegar 2.0, and held a concert. Finally, after everything was finished, I thought the beginning of this year was a good time to release a new single," said Rossa during the launch of the single Masih in Thamrin, Central Jakarta, on Friday (6/3/2020).

In order to release the single Masih, a web series titled MASIH (CINTA) TERBAIK was also created, directed by Edo Wahyu Fahreza. This three-episode series has been aired on Rossa's official YouTube channel.

The series, which was filmed in Magelang, Semarang, and Ambarawa, also stars Bryan Andrew, Annette Edoarda, and Luthfi Aulia. The idea came from Rossa, who enjoys watching Korean dramas.

"Why did I make a web series? Because I love Korean dramas, as many people already know. I love watching them so much that I had the desire to create a story like this, make it up myself, and choose the cast the way I wanted. So I made this web series and acted as the executive producer," she concluded.
