United in Melody, Tony Wenas Brings 'The Piano Man' Concert to Surabaya

One of the stars who will enliven this concert is Sara Fajira, a talented young singer aged 28. Widely known for the song 'Lathi' with the band 'Weird Genius', Sara feels honored to perform on stage with the maestro of Indonesian music.

“This is an amazing experience to share the stage with senior musicians and maestros of Indonesian music. I can learn a lot from this grand stage of Om Tony Wenas,” she expressed.

This concert will also feature the Maestro Fariz RM, who was previously unable to attend the first concert in Jakarta. “Alhamdulillah, finally I can share the stage again with Tony Wenas, after such a long time. Thank you PAPPRI for organizing this great event. I hope we can entertain our fans in Surabaya,” said Fariz with enthusiasm.

PAPPRI not only focuses on entertainment but also successfully raised funds from the sale of previous concert tickets. The funds were donated to 220 music workers from 22 provinces, demonstrating PAPPRI's important role in revitalizing the music industry ecosystem in Indonesia.

“This is one of PAPPRI's important roles in revitalizing a more productive music industry ecosystem,” explained Tony Wenas.

2. Collaboration with Several Musicians

As an extraordinary achievement in his career that has lasted more than 40 years, Tony Wenas invites musicians to collaborate. “If in Jakarta, Tony Wenas is supported by Once Mekel and Ruth Sahanaya, then for Surabaya, we are bringing Fariz RM along with two talented young singers,” said Dwiki Dharmawan, Secretary General of DPP PAPPRI.

The two young singers who will perform are Sarah Saputri and Sara Fajira, known through their collaboration with 'Weird Genius'. In addition, this concert will also feature talented local musicians from Surabaya, such as Eka Deli and Rio Sidik, as well as MC Ade Andrini who will host the event.

Preparations for this concert are becoming more mature, according to Hendra Sinadia, the Executive Coordinator. “The concept of the event in Surabaya is relatively the same as in Jakarta. Now the preparations are more mature and ready to hypnotize music lovers in Surabaya,” he said.

Tony Wenas, who has been involved in the music world since 1980, remains committed to creating despite playing an important role at PT Freeport Indonesia. “I hope my solo concert in Surabaya will achieve great success again,” he concluded with hope.
