Welcoming Independence Day, Derana Releases Second Single as a Tribute to Indonesia

Kapanlagi.com - Derana, a pop band from Tarakan, North Kalimantan, is currently enthusiastic about contributing to the Indonesian music industry. After introducing their debut single titled Derana in early July, this trio band has officially released their second single titled Indonesiaku.

As the title suggests, this song is filled with high nationalistic spirit. Yes, Indonesiaku is a tribute from Derana to commemorate Indonesia's Independence Day on August 17th, 2021.

"One of the things we can do for Indonesia, hopefully by listening to this song, we can all preserve and love Indonesia," wrote Derana in a press release received by KapanLagi.com.

1. Presenting the Natural Beauty of Tarakan City

Along with its audio, the band consisting of Firly, Filman, and Farian also released the official music video of Indonesiaku through Derana's official YouTube channel. The 4-minute video mostly showcases the natural beauty of Tarakan City, North Kalimantan.

In their previous single, Derana collaborated with Adam Alydrus, an ethnic musician currently based in Yogyakarta. This time, Derana collaborates with Ozane Bill, a singer from Tarakan, to bring a new color to the single Indonesiaku. The combination of Derana and Ozane Bill in this track presents a melancholic yet heroic and majestic atmosphere.
