10 Children Questioned Regarding Vandalism of Underpass Karanglo Malang

Kapanlagi.com - 10 children were questioned regarding the act of scribbling (vandalism) with seditious tone on the walls of the underpass Karanglo Malang. They were apprehended while around Pasar Lawang which is approximately 5 KM away from the crime scene.

Malang Police Chief, AKBP Hendri Umar stated that the dozens of apprehended children are considered as witnesses who are currently undergoing examination. They are suspected to be involved in the act of scribbling, which is also considered disturbing and disrupting the public's comfort.

"We are still investigating their involvement in the vandalism act at the underpass Karanglo," stated Hendri Umar, Monday (13/4).

1. Teenage School Dropout?

They are teenage school dropouts who usually hang out at Pasar Lawang and sometimes play at the Karanglo toll gate intersection. The involvement of these children has not been confirmed, but they are suspected to be part of the Anarchist group that often engages in graffiti actions.

As is known, the graffiti on the walls also display the logo 'A' Anarchist in several points. In addition, the writings that are highlighted are: DISSOLVE THE STATE, THE PEOPLE DON'T NEED THE STATE, and U+24B6. The writings in black paint were found on the underpass walls in Karanglo, Malang Regency.

The graffiti was discovered on Saturday (11/4) by road users. The writing then went viral and was reported to the Karanglo Traffic Police Station, which is not far from the location.

After checking the crime scene, the writing was found on the right side of the road from Malang to Surabaya. Jasa Marga has removed the writing.

The presence of the symbol 'A' in the graffiti indicates the characteristic of the anti-government Anarchist group. The joint team of East Java Regional Police and Malang District Police are currently hunting down the vandals.
