Indonesia is not alone in its efforts to uncover the cause of the Lion Air JT 610 crash. Other countries are also helping.

One of them comes from the United States, which has sent its best people from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

<nil>

The NTSB is essentially the American version of KNKT. They will assist in the investigation of the black box of the Lion Air plane that has been found.

Not only that, the NTSB also brought representatives from Boeing 737 Max 8 as the manufacturer of the aircraft to examine the black box.

As a start, they checked the wreckage of the aircraft that had been found and retrieved from the sea.

In total, there are 16 people from the NTSB who will assist Indonesia in finding the cause of the crash of the relatively new aircraft.

Although working together, the black box that is found will be fully investigated by the Indonesian authorities. The NTSB and Boeing are only there to assist as required.

Hopefully, there will soon be a breakthrough in this case!
