1. Tugu 169 Yogyakarta

Visiting Panggul, you will be greeted by a monument that is similar to the Tugu Titik Nol Km in Yogyakarta. However, the monument in Panggul is named Tugu 169 Yogyakarta because it is approximately 169 km away from Yogyakarta.

Why does Panggul have a monument that is similar to the Tugu Titik Nol in Jogja? Bupati Mochamad Nur Arifin tells the story of the history behind it.

“So, in the past, there was a story about Pangeran Mangkubumi who fought with his friend Seproketipo and then met a figure in the Panggul district named Raden Mas Panji Nawangkung,”

Through the story of the figure who is familiarly called Mas Ipin, it is known that Raden Mas Panji Nawangkung also fought alongside Pangeran Mangkubumi. “Until after the Giyanti Agreement, Pangeran Mangkubumi had the right to the land that became the foundation of the Yogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace and he was given the title Sultan Hamengkubuwono Yangkaping Setunggal,” he continued.

Around Tugu 169 Yogyakarta, there are also pedestrian sidewalks for pedestrians. The location is usually always crowded every evening with its culinary tourism, making it a recommended activity when visiting Panggul Little Jogja.

2. Visiting the Tomb of Eyang Panji Nawangkung

If you want to explore Panggul Little Jogja, it wouldn't be complete without visiting the tomb of Eyang Panji Nawangkung. He is the father-in-law of Prince Mangkubumi because according to history, Prince Mangkubumi was once married to Raden Ayu Nastiti, who is the daughter of Raden Mas Panji Nawangkung.

It is said that Raden Mas Panji Nawangkung was a powerful and mystical person. He also played an important role in Prince Mangkubumi's struggle to establish the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Kingdom.

3. Exploring Various Beaches in the Panggul Area

Panggul Little Jogja also offers natural tourist destinations in the form of beautiful beaches, each with its own charm. For example, there is Kuyon Beach, where you can not only play on the beach but also see the surrounding rice fields. There is also the Natural Sky Deck or Watu Pawon Valley, which is located at a high altitude, allowing you to see Kuyon Beach from above.

Next, there is Mutiara Beach, known for its beautiful coral reefs. Here, you can enjoy various activities such as jetskiing, banana boating, paddling, snorkeling, water biking, and canoeing.

There is also Kili-Kili Beach, which is a conservation village for turtles. In fact, the Wonocoyo Village in Panggul District has received an award from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) for achieving the Proklim Lestari trophy, the highest category.
