More Than 1.2 Billion Zakat and Donations Collected During Big Ramadan Sale 2022

Kapanlagi.com - On April 20 and April 25, 2022, Shopee just concluded two peak campaigns of Big Ramadan Sale 2022 with extraordinary enthusiasm and positive response. Every year, the Big Ramadan Sale campaign becomes one of the most anticipated campaigns, especially to accompany users in fulfilling their needs during the blessed month with the best offers. This year, Shopee not only presents a variety of offers and initiatives, but also becomes an extended hand to share goodness with others virtually, both for donations and zakat payments to those in need.

Through the Boundless Sharing program with Shopee this year, a total of Rp 1,272,059,903 zakat and donations have been collected since the beginning of the campaign until April 25, 2022. Later, all funds collected until May 5, 2022, will be distributed to the mustahik through each program in collaboration with various trusted institutions, including Baznas, Dompet Dhuafa, Rumah Yatim, Rumah Zakat, and NU Care LAZISNU.

In addition, Shopee also collaborates with Benih Baik as a partner for the Ramadan Blessing Package donation program for #TemanKita. The collected donations will be distributed to #TemanKita who are still struggling and serving in maintaining cleanliness, environmental security, and other important sectors during the holiday, as well as sharing the joy of the holiday with #TemanKita in need, such as Yatim Piatu and Dhuafa in several areas in Jabodetabek.

“Of course, we are very happy to collaborate with Shopee, which is in line with our commitment and vision to become a platform for social charity movements for the Indonesian community. Through the Ramadan Blessing Package program for #TemanKita, which has been open for donations since the beginning of Ramadan, we are proud of the positive response from the community, where until April 25, more than 600 packages have been collected as donations that can bring smiles to #TemanKita. Shopee users still have the opportunity to participate in this program until May 5, and the collected donations will be distributed to several areas in Jabodetabek as a form of appreciation and happiness during the holiday for our #TemanKita in need. We hope this extraordinary initiative can be an extension of the community's helping hand and facilitate the practice of charitable deeds from wherever and whenever we are,” said Denny Ramelan, VP Partnership & Program BenihBaik.com.

Monica Vionna, Head of Marketing Growth Shopee Indonesia stated, “This year's Ramadan is a special one, because we can finally experience togetherness without limitations. Through this year's Big Ramadan Sale campaign, Shopee strives to accompany users in fulfilling their needs, both during the fasting month and towards the upcoming Eid al-Fitr. We appreciate and thank the enthusiasm and trust of users, both business owners and buyers, in choosing Shopee as their online destination throughout this holy month. With the latest achievement that we have recorded in this year's Ramadan campaign, we are happy that the series of features and promotions that we have presented can be enjoyed by users in creating their own beautiful Ramadan moments.”

The excitement of Shopee's Big Ramadan Sale 2022 in welcoming the Day of Victory will not stop here and can still be enjoyed until May 5, 2022, to help users who still have unfulfilled needs in welcoming Eid al-Fitr, which will soon arrive. The peak of the Big Ramadan Sale 2022 campaign will also take place again on May 5, 2022, with offers that are no less attractive, such as Free Shipping Rp0 All Stores, 100% Cashback 5 Times, and Buy 1 Get 1 Free.
