Kapanlagi.com - The sale of tickets for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train, known as 'Whoosh', was officially opened to the public by the government on October 18, 2023. The day before, PT KCIC and PT KAI also inaugurated their collaboration in ticket provision and payment services.

The event was attended by Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Deputy Minister 2 of SOEs Rosan Roeslani, and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk represented by the Director of Small and Medium Business, Amam Sukriyanto.

As part of the inauguration, BRI ensures the availability of BRI payment services for every purchase of the high-speed train tickets.

The public can book tickets through the Whoosh application or the kcic.co.id website by selecting BRI as the payment method and then using the BRImo super app to complete the transaction.

In the Near Future, You Can Buy and Pay Using BRImo

In relation to this, BRI's Director of Network and Services, Andrijanto, revealed that in the near future, ticket reservations and payments can be made directly through the BRImo Super App.

It is hoped that with this BRI transaction convenience, the public's comfort in using public transportation will increase.

"BRI is always innovating to meet the needs of the community, especially BRI customers, so that in the future, ordering and paying will not require switching between applications but can be done through the BRImo Super App," said Andrijanto.

Andrijanto believes that the public's enthusiasm to experience the 'Whoosh' high-speed train will be high, considering that it is the fastest train in Southeast Asia. Additionally, it can also be an option for public transportation to and from Bandung, which is also a domestic tourist destination.

Andrijanto added that BRI continues to build transaction ecosystems to provide optimal services to its customers.

"Of course, we ensure other supporting ecosystems such as cashless payment for parking, increasing merchant partners around stations and strategic tourist locations," he explained.

He continued, "This will make it easier for customers to use only BRImo or BRI Debit Cards for transactions while traveling, and look forward to various attractive promotional programs from BRI."

As known, KCIC also offers promotional fares for the premium economy class of the Whoosh high-speed train, priced at Rp150,000 for the Halim - Padalarang, Halim - Tegalluar routes, and vice versa. This promotion is valid for departures from October 18 to November 30, 2023.

As part of the high-speed train promotion, BRI provides a 10% direct cashback for transactions using QRIS in the BRImo application, as well as additional points for every financial transaction in BRImo that can be exchanged for vouchers and entered into the BRImo FSTVL program's electric car prize draw.
