Train Schedule Has Changed as of June 1, Customers Are Asked to Pay Attention to Departure Time

Kapanlagi.com - The schedule for long distance train departures has changed as of June 1, 2023, following the implementation of the 2023 Train Travel Schedule (Gapeka). 11 long distance trains in Operation Area (Daops) 8 Surabaya have changed with earlier departure times.

Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 8 Surabaya, Luqman Arif, urges potential customers to double check the train schedule. Especially for trains that have experienced an earlier or advanced departure time than before.

"Make sure to double check your travel schedule because there are changes to train departure times in GAPEKA 2023, so you don't miss your train. Starting June 1, there are several departure times that have changed or advanced from the previous schedule," he said on Thursday (18/5).

1. Train Schedule

The changed train departure schedule from Malang Station is the Kertanegara train bound for Purwokerto, which has changed from its old schedule of departing at 08:20 AM to now departing at 08:00 AM. The Matarmaja train bound for Pasar Senen has changed from departing at 09:25 AM to now departing at 09:10 AM. And the Malabar train bound for Bandung has changed from departing at 17:10 PM to now departing at 16:50 PM.

The train departure schedule from Surabaya Pasar Turi Station is the Ambarawa Express train bound for Semarang Poncol, which has changed from departing at 06:10 AM to now departing at 06:00 AM. The Argo Bromo Anggrek train bound for Gambir has changed from departing at 09:35 AM to now departing at 09:10 AM.

KA Airlangga bound for Pasar Senen, with the old schedule of departure at 12.25 WIB changed to 10.35 WIB, as well as KA Dharmawangsa bound for Pasar Senen, with the old schedule of departure at 22.35 WIB changed to 22.30 WIB. The departure schedule of KA from Surabaya Gubeng Station includes KA Jayakarta bound for Pasar Senen, with the old schedule of departure at 14.30 WIB changed to 14.10 WIB, KA Mutiara Selatan bound for Bandung, with the old schedule of departure at 19.45 WIB changed to 18.20 WIB

KA Logawa bound for Jember, with the old schedule of departure at 14.38 WIB changed to 14.27 WIB, as well as KA Wijaya Kusuma bound for Cilacap, with the old schedule of departure at 18.15 WIB changed to 17.26 WIB.

3. Transitional Facilities

Luqman Arif added that during the transition period, all levels of Daop 8 Surabaya have prepared transitional facilities on May 31, 2023. In addition, post officers in various work units support all aspects such as ticket services and train operations to run smoothly, safely, securely, and under control. This change in departure schedule certainly has an impact on the travel time of the train, which will certainly be shorter.

"It is hoped that train customers will increase through various service improvements, such as shorter travel times, additional routes, the number of train trips, and so on,” concluded Luqman Arif.
