Kapanlagi.com - Annual event from the creative industry, IdeaFest 2021 is ready to come back with new excitement and of course fresh innovations. What makes it different, IdeaFest 2021 will be held in a hybrid format, offline at M Bloc Space, Jakarta and online from 18-28 November 2021.

Considering that the Covid-19 pandemic has changed businesses in the creative industry, IdeaFest itself has adopted "Restart" as the event theme last year. Because the pandemic is still ongoing after almost two years and the future conditions are still uncertain, IdeaFest this year will echo the theme "The Future of X".

"Looking at things in uncertain conditions, this theme invites us to think about what the future will be like and how creativity can build the future," said IdeaFest Co-Founder Ben Soebiakto in the virtual press conference of IdeaFest 2021, Thursday (28/10/2021).

"X" itself represents 10 years of building creativity in Indonesia through creative collaborations with the actors within it. Furthermore, Ben said that collaboration is very important because the creative industry is important for getting to know each other and building together.

"X can be interpreted as the X factor, where uncertainty will create new opportunities, creative people will come up with ideas, and in uncertain conditions, we prepare ourselves and use ideas to face the new future," he added.

1. Satisfy the Longing of the Community

Ben also doesn't deny that there are many people who miss attending offline events. However, in this pandemic era, they see an incredible push for technological invasion.

"Going back offline and we decided on the hybrid concept of IdeaFest this year. We still have an online format by presenting a new metaverse, this is an interesting online world platform. IdeaFest can be accessed inclusively in Indonesia and the world, enjoying interaction with fellow visitors," explained Ben.

This year's exciting surprise is also accompanied by inspiration from the club house that wants to bring virtual experience. Later, the audience can interact with each other and there will be a lot of engagement in IdeaFest's content.

"Offline, we will be held at M Bloc, this time collaborating as an appreciation for the creative community, still live streaming relay, gathering to get experience. Very nervous about all the processes," he said.

2. Exciting Event Series

Most importantly, IdeaFest 2021 is ready to present various exciting and certainly interesting events. Not only conferences and talk shows, IdeaFest 2021, in collaboration with Juni Records, also introduces an idea called IdeaFest Music Camp and attracts 200 new musicians who want to register.

"We curated a program to form and develop new musicians. In the pandemic, musicians have no limitations in creating," said Ben.

An appreciation night for the best creative figures in Indonesia will also be held. There are also dozens of communities in Indonesia, 12 music performances, and up to 70 sessions.

There will be more than 140 speakers from both domestic and international participants in this event. Some of them are hip-hop musician Tablo, Director and Executive Producer of Netflix's Chef's Table and Street Food Brian McGinn, and Raffi Ahmad who established Rans Entertainment.
