High Enthusiasm, Indonesia Menari Virtual 2021 Participated by More Than 9000 Participants

Kapanlagi.com - Indonesia Menari Virtual 2021 has entered the semifinal round. The semifinal round presented by www.indonesiakaya.com has been held from September 25-29, 2021 and participated by one hundred selected participants from each category. The participants who made it to the semifinals are entitled to receive many gifts from sponsors who contribute to the Indonesia Menari Virtual 2021 event. 

From the one hundred qualified participants, 20 best participants will be selected to perform in the final round on October 10, 2021. And this event can also be watched live on Indonesia Kaya's YouTube channel at 13:00 WIB coinciding with the 8th anniversary of Galeri Indonesia Kaya and the 3rd anniversary of Taman Indonesia Kaya.

"Although held virtually, the enthusiasm of the participants in the Indonesia Menari Virtual 2021 event is not inferior to the previous Indonesia Menari event held in several cities in Indonesia," said Renitasari Adrian, Program Director of www.indonesiakaya.com.

Renitasari revealed that the enthusiasm for this event can be seen from the total number of uploads in the preliminary round, which reached more than 9000 participants in all categories.

1. Collaborating with 3 Choreographers

Indonesia Menari Virtual 2021 collaborated with 3 accomplished Indonesian choreographers from different generations, namely Didik Nini Thowok, Eko Supriyanto, and Ufa Sofura, who also served as the main judges in this event.

Unlike previous events, Indonesia Menari Virtual 2021 is intended for individual participants divided into three categories, namely category A for participants aged 19 and above, category B for participants aged 13 - 18, and category C for participants aged 6 - 12. 

For the semifinals, all participants will create a video with a duration of approximately 60 seconds with a different choreography from the preliminary round. The choreography for the semifinals is also a collaboration of three renowned choreographers that combines movements from traditional and modern elements with the accompaniment of the song Lenggang Kangkung from Jakarta, arranged by Eka Gustiwana. The costume theme for this year is ethnic modern, polite, comfortable to wear, and does not hinder dance movements.

Eko Supriyanto, one of the choreographers who has also been involved twice in the Indonesia Menari event, feels very happy with the enthusiasm of the participants.

"I am very happy to see the creations and enthusiasm of the participants in this activity. By giving a contemporary touch with a unique traditional nuance, this time I was given the opportunity to collaborate with Didik Nini Thowok and Ufa Sofura in creating beautiful and best choreography for Indonesia Menari Virtual 2021, " said Eko.

In the final round, participants and viewers will not only see the finalists, but there will also be several performers ready to entertain virtually.

The names such as Rizky Febian, Galabby, Louise, and Jane Callista will entertain the participants and the audience. The event, which will be hosted by Dimas Danang and Feli Sumayku, will also feature Asmara Abigail as a guest judge.

For information, Indonesia Menari has been held since 2012. And in 2019, Indonesia Menari was held simultaneously in seven cities, Jakarta, Bandung, Solo, Semarang, Medan, Makassar, and Palembang.

However, due to the ongoing pandemic, in 2020 and 2021, Indonesia Menari was held virtually under the title Indonesia Menari Virtual.
