Deepika Padukone Examined by India's Narcotics Body, Suspected as Admin of Illegal Drug User Group

Kapanlagi.com - The arrest of Rhea Chakraborty in a narcotics case implicated several top Bollywood celebrities. One of them is Deepika Padukone, who is mentioned as the admin of WhatsApp Group 1 among celebrities who use these illegal substances.

On this allegation, the Narcotics Body of India called in the film star of PADMAVAAT, Deepika. Initially reported to have evaded, today, Saturday, (26/9) Deepika appeared at the office of the Narcotics Body of India in Mumbai.

Not coming alone, Deepika was accompanied by her manager, Karishma Prakash. They were examined for approximately 5 hours and after answering various questions, Deepika was allowed to go home.

1. Suspected Admin of WhatsApp Group 1

Previously, Deepika's name was dragged into a drug use case due to statements from Jaya Saha. This talent manager revealed that Deepika was the admin of WhatsApp Group 1, which was suspected to be a drug user group among Bollywood artists.

When questioned by the Indian Narcotics Bureau, Jaya mentioned that Deepika was the admin and creator of the group. Meanwhile, Jaya Saha herself was one of the admins in the group.

However, whether the group is really a place for drug transactions, the Indian Narcotics Bureau has not yet provided any information. Similarly, Deepika Padukone and several other artists involved in this case have not provided any statements.

2. Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor Also Interrogated

The drug case that started with the arrest of Rhea Chakraborty not only implicated Deepika. Actresses Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were also interrogated by the Indian Narcotics Bureau.

Sara and Shraddha were both questioned today. They were questioned for approximately 5 hours each, and then allowed to go home. According to Hindustantimes.com, both Sara and Shraddha denied using drugs.

Meanwhile, former Dharma Production producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad, who was also questioned in this case, was found guilty. He was immediately arrested by the police as soon as the drug test results came out and he tested positive for using illegal substances.

After Kshitij was found guilty, Karan Johar, the owner of Dharma Production, clarified the situation. In his statement, Karan denied using drugs himself and stated that Kshitij was not a permanent employee, but only worked together briefly in 2019.

3. Rhea Chakraborty Arrested

Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty is currently being held by the police for drug use. The girlfriend of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was arrested along with her brother a few weeks ago.

However, Rhea's arrest has drawn attention in the Indian public as it is considered to be too strange. The police are said to be fabricating and looking for reasons to arrest Rhea after allegations of murder and extortion against Sushant could not be proven.
