Reza Rahadian delivered a speech during his action on the streets as part of the ordinary people who are concerned about the Revision of the Regional Election Law.

"I have always made the world of art my platform to express my inner turmoil and social criticism, but today I can no longer remain silent, I cannot sleep peacefully at home," he said.

Reza discussed the decision of the DPR to postpone the Plenary Meeting to ratify the revision of the Regional Election Law.

"After the faces that were previously shattered, and today we have all received a decision that we highly respect from the Constitutional Court, there are still attempts to hijack it, still attempts to thwart it," he said.

The star of the film 'HABIBIE & AINUN' also emphasized that his presence at the event was not to represent any interests, but rather as an ordinary citizen who is anxious about the current state of democracy.

Not to be left out, Reza also urged the protesters to express their aspirations while maintaining order.

In addition to his speech, the person with the full name Reza Rahadian Matulessy reiterated that he could not remain silent while witnessing the sad condition of the country.

"It's sad. If I see the methods like this... I can't just sit quietly at home," said Reza.
