Indonesian actor and musician, Fachri Albar, has been involved in drug cases several times. The latest news is that he was arrested again on Sunday night, April 20, 2025, at his home in South Jakarta.
Previously, in 2007, Fachri Albar became a police fugitive after the arrest of Jenny Chandra, a fugitive in a case involving 490 thousand ecstasy pills.
During a raid at his father, Ahmad Albar's house, police found 1.2 grams of cocaine in Fachri's room. Fachri then surrendered to the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) on November 30, 2007.
In the second case, on February 14, 2018, Fachri was arrested at his residence in Cirendeu, South Jakarta. Police found one package of meth weighing 0.8 grams, 13 dumolid tablets, one meth pipe (bong), and a used marijuana stub.
In the examination, Fachri admitted to having consumed marijuana since 2015 and meth since a year earlier. He was sentenced to undergo rehabilitation for 7 months by the South Jakarta District Court.
Recently, on April 20, 2025, Fachri Albar was again arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police at his home in the South Jakarta area on suspicion of drug abuse. This arrest was confirmed by the police, but the type of drugs found has not been officially announced.
The Head of the Narcotics Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Vernal Sambo, confirmed the arrest when questioned by the media at the West Jakarta Metro Police on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. "It is true that we secured a public figure with the initials FA on Sunday night," said Kompol Vernal Sambo.
