The soap opera and film actor Fachri Albar is once again entangled in legal issues. He was detained by the police in connection with allegations of drug abuse. This arrest was confirmed directly by the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police.
The arrest took place on Saturday, April 20, 2025, around 8:00 PM WIB. Fachri was detained at his residence located in South Jakarta. As of now, the investigation process is still ongoing.
"Yes, we from the SatNarko of the West Jakarta Police on April 20, 2025, at 8:00 PM Western Indonesian time, confirm that we have secured a man with the initials FA who is a public figure. And currently, we are delving deeper and conducting further investigations," said the Head of the Narcotics Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Vernal Sambo to the media crew on Monday (21/4/2025).
FA, who was later confirmed to be Fachri Albar, was arrested alone without resistance. The arrest process was reported to have gone smoothly. "The individual was alone. We secured FA alone," emphasized Kompol Vernal Sambo.
Fachri is known to be active in the entertainment world, both as an actor and a musician. He has starred in various soap operas, feature films, and digital series.
"The person in question is currently more dominant, more active in acting in soap operas. They also have a feature film, and there are also several series on Netflix. But it has also been confirmed that they once had a band and so on," continued Vernal.
Regarding the evidence that has been secured, the police have not provided further details. They are still investigating the type of narcotics that are suspected to have been used by Fachri.
"For the type of narcotics that we are currently investigating, further details will be provided by Pumas. Please confirm with your friends later," he added.
When asked about the initials FA that are often mentioned as Fachri Albar, Head of the PMJ Penmas Subdivision AKBP Reonald Simanjuntak confirmed this. Although initially reluctant to answer plainly, he then acknowledged the identity of the artist."Hehe yes, that's right, yes (Fachri). I agree, right?" Reonald concluded when contacted separately.
