8 Photos of Ria Ricis Teaching the Meaning of Sharing Through Sacrifice to Moana: Don't Be Afraid of Running Out of Wealth

The moment of Idul Adha is an opportunity for Ria Ricis not only to share but also to instill the values of faith in her daughter, Cut Raifa Aramoana. As a mother, Ricis wants her child to grow with the understanding that sacrificing is not just an annual routine, but a form of love for Allah.

"I have already told Moana that this sacrifice is a sign of love for Allah and the sacrificial animals will be our vehicles in paradise later, and I also told her that no matter how much wealth we have, don't be afraid of running out if we spend it in the way of Allah," said Ricis when met in the Bintaro area, South Tangerang, Friday (5/6/2025).

In the process of introducing the meaning of sacrifice, Ricis observed the emotional response from Moana that made her feel the same way. According to Ricis, her child's sadness upon seeing the sacrificial animal became a good moment to explain that all of this is part of worship.

"So indeed, like earlier, she was about to be sad, but I always say it's okay to be sad, this is our way to the path of Allah. Instead, it was the mother who cried," she said.

This year, the YouTuber born in Batam conducted sacrifices at several locations, including at a pesantren (Islamic boarding school) called Maskanul Huffadz. She mentioned that one of the sacrificial cows she donated is named Bruno and was purchased from the Tangerang area.

"Alhamdulillah, this year we are sacrificing at several locations. One of them is at our beloved pesantren. The cow named Bruno that we chose in the Tangerang area back then," Ricis expressed.

Although she regularly makes sacrifices every year, Ricis admits that this year is quite different. She feels that her time spent with her sacrificial cow is far less compared to previous years.

"It seems like this year I rarely meet the sacrificial cow, while in previous years it was definitely more frequent. Whether it was someone bathing it, someone coming to feed it, or doing this and that," she explained.

The opportunity to meet the sacrificial cow directly only happened twice: during the purchase and at the time of slaughter. This made Ricis feel like she was paying less attention to her sacrificial animal.

"This year I met her the least, I think only twice. First when I bought her and today. It's a bit sad, I feel like I haven't paid enough attention to my sacrificial cow, so I feel a little guilty that I only met her twice before she was slaughtered today," she said.
