Tarra Budiman learns a lot about parenting from his friends and seniors in the entertainment world. According to him, time spent with children is a precious moment that should not be missed.

"I learn from my friends, like Ringgo (Agus Rahman). They say, ‘Enjoy the time with your children, don’t let it be that when you have time, the kids don’t want to anymore.’ So, I try as much as possible, even if I’m tired or busy, to still go out," he said in the Ragunan area, South Jakarta.

For Tarra, moments like taking children to school are very valuable. "If I can take them myself, then it’s just Dad," he said with a smile, sharing his time with his daughter. Tarra also revealed that his two children still sleep together in one bed to strengthen family bonds before they sleep alone.

"It's intentional, because there will definitely come a time when they say 'I want to be alone.' Before that, let's take advantage of it. If we can make it until high school, I swear," he joked.

Tarra mentioned that children are magical beings that actually change the way parents think. "Children are not shaped by us, but they make us change our mindset," he added.

When asked about his worries if his daughter is approached by the opposite sex, Tarra admitted it's natural to feel scared. However, he and his wife, Gya Sadiqah, are trying to build trust with their children.

"Of course I'm scared, but we give trust to Kalea and Kayma. We are learning how to ensure that the communication between father and children is good. So if anything happens, they will tell us right away," he revealed.

Kalea, who has now started school, always shares experiences about what happens at school. Tarra encourages that openness by being someone who also enjoys telling stories to her children.

“For example, that day I was really tired after running, I told Kalea, ‘Dad is really tired today.’ So from that she knows, ‘Wow Dad likes to tell stories, I want to tell stories too,’” Tarra explained.

Even though her daughter is still little, Tarra once asked if Kalea already has a "crush" or interest in her classmates. However, Kalea still seems shy.

“We asked her once, but she seems to still be shy. But yeah, Kalea is very nurturing in class, likes to take care of her friends,” she concluded.
