Kris Dayanti was one of the artists present at the tahlilan event on the seventh day after the passing of Titiek Puspa at the PTIK Building, South Jakarta, Thursday (17/4/2025). Although she could not attend the funeral, she felt relieved to be able to pray for the Indonesian music legend alongside her extended family and the children from the foundation.

The singer of the song Mencintaimu admitted that this tahlilan moment felt very special. She also mentioned that the presence of the ustaz and family further enhanced the solemnity of the prayer gathering.

"From the ustaz, we were moved to attend the 7-day invitation for mommy Titiek, making it more noble and complete. It was special because we were together in the Yasin tahlil with the younger siblings from the foundation and also the extended family. It feels grateful, complete even though I couldn't attend the funeral yesterday, but today I can (join the tahlilan)," said the woman born on March 24, 1975.

As a fellow singer, Kris Dayanti also holds many memories with the late Titiek Puspa. She feels grateful for the opportunity to continue the legacy and dreams of the maestro in the world of art.

"If there are many memories, we are all grateful that we have been given a very open door to continue her dreams," said Raul Lemos' wife.

According to her, after the passing of Titiek Puspa, artists now face new challenges. Especially in efforts to create legal harmony and protection for artistic works in Indonesia.

"What many artist friends are currently worried about is how the commotion related to music and artists is happening; hopefully, after the passing of mom Titiek, we can harmoniously provide good legal protection for everyone," explained this younger sister of Yuni Shara.

To commemorate the figure of Titiek Puspa, Kris Dayanti will also perform a song titled 'Cipta' in a television program called Anugerah Puspa.  "I will dedicate a song at the Puspa award tomorrow on one of our national TVs, titled Cipta. Alhamdulillah, the song can resonate with all of us," she said.

On that occasion, Kris Dayanti also explained the reason all guests are wearing all-white attire as the dress code. "The dress code from the family, according to the invitation, is white, which symbolizes purity. Hopefully, our prayers are granted to send the deceased off with blessings," concluded the former wife of Anang Hermansyah. /aal
