The film SAH! KATANYA is ready to premiere in theaters starting April 24, 2025. Featuring a family comedy drama, this film presents a story about a father's will that plunges his children into conflicts of love and complex sibling relationships.
Actress Nadya Arina, who plays the character Marni, admits to gaining many life lessons from this film, especially about the importance of family. Check out the full story below!
"Perhaps I personally became more reflective about the things we do to our family," said Nadya at a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday (April 16, 2025).
"Whether it's a younger sibling, an older sibling, or maybe even parents. What we might think 'ah, that's not important,' turns out to have an extraordinary impact on them," he continued.
More than just a role, Nadya even feels she has found new warmth during the filming process. "Perhaps the most interesting thing of all is meeting a new family," she said.
Meanwhile, Calvin Jeremy, who is also involved as an actor, admitted he became emotional while delving into the character of Adi. In fact, he got so carried away that he had to confide in director Loeloe Hendra. "This is a collective effort... I don't want to bring these feelings home because there's a wife at home," he said.
Director Loeloe Hendra admitted that this film became a new challenge because it stepped out of his comfort zone in the festival genre. "If usually I'm in (the genre) festival, Mr. Tata is in action, then when we try to make this comedy drama, we want to give touches that we feel can provide something fresh," explained Loeloe.
Producer Raam Punjabi shared an interesting story about the title selection. He initially rejected the original title "Good Day," but eventually relented after seeing the strong potential of the story.
"Mr. Tata has a strategy that I admire… But this film is already made, that is the first level of pride for me," concluded Raam.
