A Series of Comedians and Artists Hold a Flag Lowering Ceremony, Returning to the Nation's Zero Point

A number of Indonesian comedians held a flag-lowering ceremony to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

Spreading invitations on the social media account of the Bekasi Embassy, this event was held at Proclamation Park on August 17, 2025, and was titled 'Titik Nol Bangsa' (Zero Point of the Nation).

"Today we will return to the Zero Point of the Nation. Remembering, reflecting, responding, the initial intent of independence. We will distribute the newspaper 'Titik Nol Bangsa' for all friends, but the quantity is limited," as stated in the social media post (17/8).

Serving as the ceremony leader, Boris Bokir appeared serious and full of reverence. This flag-lowering ceremony is an initial initiative of the comedians together with the late Gusti Irwan Wibowo, bringing the spirit of nationalism and collaboration.

"The existence of this point is important as the initial trigger for independence. It marks the beginning of a nation's independence and the autonomy of a region. This Zero Point is crucial to return to the noble values of early independence. O youth of the nation, let us remember the struggles of our heroes to free our nation," so explained in the caption of the post @kedubesbekasi.

This place was chosen because in the past, Zero Point was always bustling, progressive in fostering the imagination of the youth, contributing together for Indonesia.

This message becomes a symbol that independence is not just a ceremonial celebration, but also a reflection on the nation's journey.

The flag lowering ceremony was completed smoothly and without obstacles. The comedians appeared grateful and embraced each other.
