Acha Septriasa's Career Journey, from Finalist of GADIS Sampul 2004 to Becoming a Top Actress in the Country - Achieving Many Awards Since 2006

Acha Septriasa, born with the full name Jelita Septriasa on September 1, 1989, is one of the Indonesian actresses and singers widely known for her roles in various popular films. Her career in the entertainment world began when she became a finalist in GADIS Sampul 2004.

She started to gain public recognition when she starred in the film HEART in 2006 alongside Irwansyah and Nirina Zubir. The film was not only a huge success at the box office but also earned Acha the award for Favorite Actress at the MTV Indonesia Movie Awards. Additionally, the soundtrack of the film HEART, sung together with Irwansyah, strengthened her popularity as a singer, with several of her songs like My Heart and Pecinta Wanita becoming hits across Indonesia.

The success of HEART opened many doors for Acha's acting career. She then starred in several films, such as LOVE IS CINTA (2007) and IN THE NAME OF LOVE (2008). In 2014, Acha starred in the film 99 CAHAYA DI LANGIT EROPA, a religious film set in Europe. This film is an adaptation of a novel of the same name and successfully attracted the audience's attention with its themes of spirituality and adventure. The film LAYLA MAJNUN (2021), released on a streaming platform, is one of the latest projects that shows that even far from her homeland, Acha remains committed to her craft.
