Acting Competition with Naura Ayu, Devano Danendra: Dating while Getting Paid

Kapanlagi.com - Having previously worked together in a movie, Naura Ayu and Devano Danendra are reunited in a new project. This time, they are cast as the main characters in an Original Series produced by Vidio in collaboration with Screenplay Picture, titled MY NERD GIRL.

Naura Ayu expressed her happiness in acting alongside her partner. However, they still maintain a professional working relationship.

"What I like about Devano is that he can position himself as if we are work partners here without hindering anything. So, I work with Devano professionally and we often work together. So, it feels more like working and playing together," said Naura Ayu during a virtual press conference on Thursday (24/2).

Meanwhile, when asked about his response to acting with Naura Ayu, Devano Danendra jokingly replied.

"Dating while getting paid. Just kidding," said Devano Danendra with a laugh.

Furthermore, Devano Danendra said that Naura Ayu has good enthusiasm not only for herself but also for other cast members.

"It's really exciting because Naura also has a very good spirit not only for me but also for the other cast. So, because we've been reading together for a long time, our bond is really close. We are both very focused on making this series the best," he explained.

2. Building Chemistry Was Not Difficult

Because they already know each other and have acted together before, they didn't have any difficulties in building chemistry.

"I'm happy to work with Naura because building chemistry wasn't as complicated as it seems because we've known each other for a long time. It just flows," said Devano Danendra.

"Being in the same series as Devano actually makes it easier for me to act," added Naura Ayu.

3. Giving Feedback and Support

On the set, they also give each other feedback about acting and support each other to stay enthusiastic in shooting to get the best results.

"If I know that Devano has more experience (in acting) than me, I ask a lot of questions, consult a lot, especially because he is also an objective partner. So I ask him a lot," explained Naura Ayu.

"We give each other feedback, but Naura gives more feedback to me. Actually, because this is the second time we can work on a project together. I know what happens if we work on a project together. We have the same problem, like confidence and feeling shy to meet many people, new people. We support each other, let's stay motivated, hopefully we can, more on the mental side. When it comes to acting, Naura is already experienced in Broadway," concluded Devano Danendra.

In her investigation, Rea meets Reyhan (Devano Danendra), a man who secretly dates Fara and suspects him. The investigation also faces many obstacles.

This series is based on the Wattpad story by Aidah Harisah, which has been read over 27 million times. Directed by Kuntz Agus, MY NERD GIRL will premiere on Vidio on February 26th and will release 3 episodes at once.
