Adam Deni and Jerinx SID's Legal Counsel Heated Argument in the Courtroom, Judge's Reprimand

Kapanlagi.com - The continuation of the trial for the alleged electronic media threat case involving defendant Jerinx SID was held at the Central Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (12/1).

The agenda of the trial was to hear the testimony of the victim's witness, Adam Deni. In this trial, there was tension between Adam Deni and Jerinx SID's legal counsel, Sugeng Teguh Santoso.

1. Tension Begins

It all started when Sugeng Teguh Santoso wanted to reveal the meeting between his client Jerinx SID and Adam Deni at a hotel for mediation. He also claimed that there was alleged extortion by Adam Deni against Jerinx SID. However, Adam Deni denied all of it.

"Did the meeting happen?" asked Sugeng Teguh Santoso.

"The meeting did happen, I confirm that," answered Adam Deni.

"Is it because the request for Rp 15 billion was not fulfilled?" asked Sugeng Teguh Santoso.

"There was no such request," answered Adam Deni.

2. Getting Heated

The atmosphere in the courtroom became even more heated between the two.

"Who provided the hotel facilities?" asked Sugeng Teguh Santoso.

"I did it myself! The transaction records are here," said Adam Deni with an elevated tone while holding up his cellphone.

"It's getting disconnected, sir. Honestly," continued Adam Deni.

3. Judges: Don't Get Emotional!

Seeing the atmosphere getting hotter, the judges immediately stopped the conversation between both parties and asked them not to get emotional.

"Don't make this atmosphere more turbulent. There are procedural laws that regulate not getting emotional here, respect the trial regulated by criminal procedural law. This criminal procedural law is made by the state. The government and the DPR, representatives of the people," said the judges.

4. Peace

"Let's not get emotional. This is not a market, it's a trial. We should be ashamed in front of people. Many people are orderly, but we are the ones causing trouble. What are we arguing about? What are we getting emotional about? Ask nicely. Asking is also not allowed to be forced. If he doesn't want to give this answer, ask someone else. Let's calm down first, okay?" he continued.

The trial finally continued with a calmer atmosphere than before.
