Adapted from the Novel, Pidi Baiq Affirms Not Involved in the Film DRUNKEN MONSTER at All

Kapanlagi.com - Pidi Baiq is a writer whose name is well-known by the public. Some of his novels are often adapted into films to visualize the characters in the novel. One of Pidi's novels titled DRUNKEN MONSTER.

The film DRUNKEN MONSTER is reported to have finished shooting and is ready to be shown in theaters. However, there is something different about the making of this film adapted from Pidi's novel.

Pidi affirms that he is not involved in the film at all. From the shooting process to the completion of the film, Pidi is truly not involved.

"(The film) is done, but note this, I was not involved in the making of the film DRUNKEN MONSTER," said Pidi when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Monday (26/6/2023).

"Totally, not at all (involved)," added the man affectionately called Ayah.

Unfortunately, Pidi did not specifically mention why he was not involved in the film adaptation of his novel.

Usually, Pidi is often involved in a film adaptation of his written novel. Like the film KOBOY KAMPUS or even DILAN, Pidi participated in writing and directing the story. 

Even for the film ANCIKA 1995, although only 30 percent, Pidi still participated in the production process. And after this, Pidi will be involved in a film adaptation of his novel titled HIDUP INI TERLALU BANYAK KAMU and IMIGRAN DARI SURGA.
