Ahmad Dhani expressed his disappointment regarding the series of events at his second son, El Rumi's wedding. Dhani believes there is a striking difference between events that are not covered by television and those that are broadcast nationally, especially in terms of speeches.
Dhani pointed out the efforts to create drama by bringing up the past during this sacred moment. He compared it to the blessing ceremony of Al Ghazali, which he felt was much calmer and free from past provocations.
"You remember, during Al's blessing ceremony, it wasn't covered by TV, there were no tears. When Al was blessing and bowing to his mother, there were no tears, there were no speeches that brought up the past, none of that. Because there was no TV. When SCTV aired it, everything came out," said Ahmad Dhani when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (5/4/2026).
Dhani is puzzled as to why the moment of bowing in El Rumi's event had to be filled with remarks that revive old wounds. He believes this was deliberately done to attract public sympathy in front of the television camera.
He claims to have given a stern warning to the parties involved not to bring up old issues during the children's event. If this continues, Dhani threatens to reveal all the facts he has kept tightly under wraps.
"That raises the question, why was there no speech during Al's bowing? Why was there a speech that brought up the past during El's bowing? I have already warned repeatedly, do not bring up the past again. Because why? Because if you do, I will reveal everything," explained Ahmad Dhani.
Dhani feels that bringing up the past in public is unnecessary, considering Maia Estianty has had a new life for years. He feels annoyed because he is constantly portrayed as the guilty party in the narrative of the past.
"Even Maia has been married for 10 years to Irwan Mussry, yet she still brings up the past like that. That's why I'm annoyed," continued Ahmad Dhani.
Dhani hopes that the moments of happiness for his children will no longer be tarnished by content interests or dramas that harm one party. He desires transparency and honesty without having to put on a show in front of the camera.
"I want everything to go as it is, without unnecessary dramas," concluded Ahmad Dhani.
