Ariel Tatum Officially Changes Name at South Jakarta District Court, Honors Grandparents

Ariel Tatum officially received a name change decree from the South Jakarta District Court. The request was granted by the panel of judges on Thursday (27/8/2026), following the submission made in August 2026.

The spokesperson for the South Jakarta District Court, Halida Rahardin, conveyed this information. "As the applicant present in the trial, the essence is to request a name change, yes, a name change from Ariel Putri Tari to Ariel Dewinta Ayu Sekarini, with the reason to honor the name given by her grandparents," said Halida.

1. Registration of Ariel Tatum's Case and the Decision of the South Jakarta District Court

The application for the name change of Ariel Tatum was registered at the South Jakarta District Court with case number 731/Pdt.P/2026/PN JKT.Sel. The decision was granted by the panel of judges on Thursday (27/8/2026).

"The application with register 731/Pdt.P/2026/PN JKT.Sel... has been decided today," said Halida.

Halida Rahardin provided this information in an interview with KapanLagi.com, confirming the status of the case and the date of the decision given by the panel of judges.

2. Process from Application to Hearing

The application for the name change was submitted on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. After that, the court appointed a judge and the case began on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

"Submitted on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, the judge was appointed, and the hearing took place on Thursday, August 20, 2026," he explained.

After a series of hearings, the panel of judges then decided and granted the application on Thursday (27/8/2026).

3. E-Court Hearing and Decision Publication

The hearing that granted the request for a name change was held through the e-court system of the South Jakarta District Court.

"And it has been approved by the panel of judges in today's hearing which is conducted... e-court. And it has been uploaded to e-court. That is for Ariel Tatum, done," concluded Halida.

The decision of the case has been uploaded to the e-court system of the South Jakarta District Court, according to the official statement from the court's public relations.
